Steps to troubleshoot Logic Board Issues on Macbook


A MacBook doesn’t have a Mother Board, it has a Logic Board. Its functioning is similar to the Mother Board and it provides central connection to every part of Macbook. So if your system goes through some hardware malfunctioning, then you need to diagnose the central system as well. Macbook has an inbuilt diagnostic suit called Apple hardware test and it allows you to troubleshoot a lot of issues. This utility was released during the year 2000 and since the years, it has only developed. Steps for troubleshooting are:

·         Insert Apple hardware disk in the drive. This utility is readily available and would be found on the second desk long with installation disks. But it could also be found on some sites such as Github.

·         Restart your system. You have to restart the system to initialize the diagnostic progress. To make sure that Macbook loads up along the utility press and hold the key D.

·         Once setup is initiated, select the preferred language and click on next.

·         When you will encounter interface of diagnostic tools, press the key T to run tests. This test will run for 10 minutes.

·         The last scan was a quick scan, now this scan will be a deep scan. To run the scan click on the checkbox next to “perform extended testing”, and then click on test button. This test will run for few minutes depending upon the damage.
